As parents, we were fortunate to be able to provide our daughters with the opportunity to attend Mount Notre Dame. While sitting in orientation for incoming students with our twins Emily and Elissa back in 2009, we clearly recall Sister Rita welcoming their freshmen class and telling the parents that MND’s mission was to “graduate confident young women well prepared to succeed as adults”. And that is exactly what MND did.
Our daughters Emily ‘13, Elissa ‘13, and Erica ‘14 can all testify that they were significantly more prepared for college than many of their peers who attended other high schools, both academically and socially. The work ethic they developed at MND greatly helped them succeed in college and in their chosen careers.
We trust that MND remains true to this mission today. We want to help at least a few less fortunate young women get the same leg up on success.
The priority for this Scholarship is single parents.
