We are thrilled to introduce a NEW scholarship opportunity for the MND Class of 2029. The Sr. Dorothy Stang, SNDdeN Scholarship recognizes young women who demonstrate exceptional promise and deep desire to belong to the MND Community. Who Can Apply? This scholarship opportunity is open to eighth grade girls who strive to be like Sr. Dorothy in one (or more) area of their lives. Participation in the on-campus interview process helps MND to identify deserving young women who will thrive in our school and contribute positively to the MND community.
Each scholarship candidate will participate in a conversation to share how one (or more) of the following values and gifts in their own life that echo Sr. Dorothy’s life can be found in their own life experiences:
- Service to others/Faith in action
- Courage in the face of difficulty,
- Defense of the powerless, and/or
- Care for the environment
Award Amount: The Sr. Dorothy Stang SNDdeN Scholarship is a non-renewable award with a value of at least $500. Recipients of this scholarship will be notified in the January admission packet.
Steps in the Merit Scholarship Interviews:

- Register for a 30-minute on-campus Interview (available in your Checklist) to take place on Dec. 4,5 or 7.
- Prepare. A week prior to the interview, families will receive information about what to expect during the interview and a few potential topics of discussion.
- Interview. Arrive at MND on the assigned date/time to meet for a brief, informal conversation with MND Student Ambassadors, followed by a meeting with one MND adult. Parents are invited to remain in the MND Foyer for refreshments and conversation with an MND Administrator or Admissions Staff. The entire interview process is 30 minutes in length.
Mount Notre Dame is committed to partnering with families to help them realize their desire for an MND education by offering academic scholarships, merit-based awards and legacy awards to our students. Making Mount Notre Dame Affordable
Mount Notre Dame understands the financial commitment needed to attend a private, Catholic school. This is why we make it a priority to provide families with financial assistance as needed.
Approximately 35% of families receive financial assistance with an average award of $4,400 annually for qualifying families. That is roughly one-third the cost of an entire academic school year.
• Tuition Grants – FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment, a third party agent, evaluates all applications and establishes each family’s financial need. MND uses the FACTS information to determine tuition grant amounts for qualifying families. A FACTS Grant and Aid Form must be completed to be eligible for Mount Notre Dame Tuition Assistance.
• Sisters of Notre Dame Grants – Select, renewable Sisters of Notre Dame Grants, made possible by the generous support of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, are awarded to minority students demonstrating financial need and a keen desire to attend MND. A completed and qualifying FACTS application is required.
There is a $35 fee payable to FACTS at the time of completing the application.
