Creating Your Scholarship

A named, endowed scholarship can be established with a gift or pledge of $25,000 or more.

Here’s how it works:

• Pledge Payments: If you choose to make a pledge, payments of $25,000 must be completed within three years. For pledges of $50,000 or more, the payments must be completed within five years.
• Earning Interest: Once your endowed scholarship fund reaches the minimum of $25,000, scholarships can begin to be awarded from the interest earned on the corpus, which is typically 4%.

*Note that the fund must remain untouched for one year after reaching this threshold to allow for interest accumulation.

The Scholarship Process

Scholarship recipients are selected by the Mount Notre Dame Scholarship Committee, ensuring that awards are given to those who best embody the values of our school. Benefactors and scholarship recipients are provided with the opportunity to meet one another at an annual event held at Mount Notre Dame, fostering a community of support and encouragement and lifelong sisterhood/friendship.

Establishing Your Legacy

A signed Scholarship Agreement form is required for all named scholarship benefactors, outlining the details of your contribution and the impact it will have. Your commitment will not only provide financial support but will also create a legacy of empowerment for future generations of students.
