The reason why my wife and I decided to put scholarships in the name of our children is because when they went there, to MND, they learned to be accountable, to work hard, to be good Christians, and to not be caught up in the politics of the world. My only intention when we donated the money, was to ensure that MND would be a leader in teaching Christian philosophy, teaching students to be accountable for their actions and to be arrested from the crazy world that we have right now. We did not want Mount Notre Dame to be like all the other schools, parochial schools in this area. We wanted MND to be a leader and not a follower as far as schools go in the tri-state area. Too many schools try to be everything to everyone and they forget the intentions of Christian teaching.
